Final Cut Pro X free tutorial series, part one, importing media. I’ve found many tutorials on FCP X which are great if you know what you are searching for. But there’s not many free complete tutorials that take you from importing media, through all the editing steps, and all the way to exporting or sharing your video to social media. So I’ve decided to make a free series of video that will teach you how to edit with FCP X. Part one is about importing media into FCP X. This lesson will teach you about all the import options. Final Cut Pro has awesome media management. Clips are stored in events, which are stored in libraries. Libraries can be external or managed, or all the media can be copied into FCP Libraries. Slow computer? You can create optimized and/or proxy media to make editing video easier on a non professional computer. This video will teach you the difference between the two and how to create optimized/proxy files. I’ll also teach you how to save valuable hard drive space. New videos coming every week, so please subscribe so you don’t miss them. If you enjoy this video please like below and feel free to leave any questions in comments. I’ll do my best to answer them. Thanks for watching!
