The next step in learning how to make a fully functional 3D game in Game Maker Studio is extending our pixel perfect collisions into 3D by writing a custom place_meeting script that incorporates z-collisions. Then we are able to implement gravity and jumping. The next episode will focus on creating a minimap and setting up adjustable field of view, or FOV.
